Heavenly Voices operates under the idea that every person is a potential member in their choir. On the group’s Facebook page, they proudly announce, “There are NO tryouts to join...show up, we have a spot for you!” The Heavenly Voices Gospel Choir was founded at Baylor University in Waco in 1988, when then-student Tonja Frazier-Carpenter felt inspired to bring people together to sing. Since then, the group has swelled to over 40 members and an 11-piece band. The group has also worked with performers like Gary Mayes, Karen Clark-Sheard, and Myron Butler & Levi. TWEETS
