Custom With a distinctive voice and honest, captivating songwriting that’s reminiscent of the singer/songwriters of a fading era – Ryan Bingham, along with his band, The Dead Horses, have been generating a great deal of excitement amongst critics & fans over the past few years. With influences ranging from Bob Dylan to Bob Wills, Bingham’s sound often combines elements of Roots, Rock, Americana, Country, & Folk.

Over the past three years alone, Ryan Bingham has already released two critically acclaimed albums under Lost Highway Records, Mescalito (2007) & Roadhouse Sun (2009) – both produced by former Black Crowes' guitarist Marc Ford.  However, it's his recent work on the Crazy Heart soundtrack that has really brought the talented singer/songwriter some well-deserved mainstream recognition.  In collaboration with Grammy-winning producer T Bone Burnett, Bingham’s song, “The Weary Kind (Theme from Crazy Heart)” earned him both an Oscar & Golden Globe this past year.  He was also recently nominated for “Artist of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” & “New & Emerging Artist of the Year” at the upcoming Americana Music Awards.

Ryan Bingham & The Dead Horses will release their third, highly-anticipated album Junky Star, produced by fellow Crazy Heart collaborator T Bone Burnett, on Lost Highway Records later this year.

It's easy to tire of singer songwriters, but this one's special. very special.
