Switchfoot
Acclaimed San Diego rock band Switchfoot has seen multi-platinum success over its vast career, which spans eight albums, numerous music industry award honors - including a Grammy nomination - and countless sold-out arena shows. 2001's A Beautiful Letdown went double-platinum on the strength of two gold-certified singles, 'Dare You To Move' and 'Meant To Live.' Switchfoot's seventh studio album, Hello Hurricane, was released November of last year on Atlantic Records to much critical acclaim. Paste Magazine declared "Hello Hurricane will rock you like a....well, you know...." Alternative Press calls the record "a hope-giving affirmation of resurgence from a band who might have been down but were never out." And Star Magazine gave it 3 out 4 stars. The band's first single, "Mess of Me," from Hello Hurricane went Top 10 at Modern Rock radio and their current single, "The Sound," is also Top 10.
The band's commercial successes are matched by their myriad of philanthropic efforts; they have worked with Habitat For Humanity, The ONE Campaign and Invisible Children, among others. Notably, the band started its own charity called BroAm, a surfing/music event and auction hosted by Switchfoot benefitting StandUp for Kids. This year, Bro Am raised over 130,000 dollars for Stand Up for Kids and saw over 7,500 people out to support the event.
Switchfoot is Jon Foreman (vocals/guitar,) Tim Foreman (bass,) Chad Butler (drums,) Jerome Fontamillas (keyboards/guitar) and Drew Shirley (guitar.)

Great ACL fest show! It was an unexpected pleasure to see these guys on the Austin Ventures Stage. I was one of the old guys up front with all the kids. There is hope! I'm so jaded but I was blown away.
